About Coastal Purrs Cat Rescue
Our Mission
Coastal Purrs Cat Rescue is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to rescuing and providing shelter for animals in need. Our mission is to find loving homes for every animal that comes through our doors. We help cats in all of the Coastal Virginia area, including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg and Poquoson.
Our History
Coastal Purrs Cat Rescue was founded in 2024 by a group of passionate animal lovers who wanted to make a difference in their community.
The founder, Annette Sala, has been rescuing cats for over 20 years.
She truly has a passion for helping cats in need and enjoys helping them find their forever homes.

Our team of dedicated volunteers work tirelessly to provide the best possible care for our cats. They are passionate, knowledgeable, and committed to our mission.
